Air Quality

AirHealth’s air quality data combines high quality observational data from trusted monitors with the CSIRO’s leading air quality model, ‘AQFx’. We combine this information into a high-resolution spatial model that provides the best possible air quality information across Australia.

By using an Australian-specific air quality model with high quality, local inputs and parameters, we are able to provide the best possible estimates of local pollution.

Thunderstorm Asthma Forecasting

AirHealth provides government-issued epidemic thunderstorm asthma forecasts where these are available. In Victoria, the forecasts are issued by the Department of Health Victoria in collaboration with the Bureau of Meteorology.

AirHealth provides the pollen data that underpin the epidemic thunderstorm asthma forecasts, which combine grass pollen forecasts with the prediction of the type of thunderstorm thought to produce a thunderstorm asthma event.

Working towards a healthier community where everyone has the knowledge and tools that they need to manage their air and live well.
