David Bartlett was Premier of Tasmania from 2008-2011. During his parliamentary career he also held ministerial positions in education, skills, innovation, science and technology and justice. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma of Business from the University of Tasmania. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Prior to entering the parliament David had a successful career in the technology and telecommunications sector.
In 2015 he was named by The Australian newspaper as one of Australia’s 50 most influential people in technology. Since leaving the parliament, David has co-founded, been non-executive Chair and led successful exits of several startup, high growth and established technology-based companies in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. He is currently non-executive Chair of a large NDIS service provider, non-executive director of high growth tech company Emprevo Pty. Ltd. and co-founder of a sports-tech company, Swisherr Pty Ltd.
